came back after leaving in on charge for a few hours like normal. tried to switch it on and no life at all. zilch. dead as a door nail. no light no noise nothing. only a year old. bought from dell last march. no extended warranty the cable to charge it has a light built into the end where it plugs into the laptop. thats still lit.the only thing that I can think of is when I left it to charge for a few hours the heating came on. I wouldnt normally leave anything electrical pressed up against the heating. only day its been on in months to dry my coat and I forgot to switch it off and the timer came on. so its had a good 3 hours of fairly hot heat on the power adapter plug where it meets the extension cable socketsboth were sat wedged firmly pressed against the radiator. with not having heating on I had just temporary put it there while I was moving things about. could this have caused some damagedell inspiron 14 x series 7437year old from dell brand new
